Step #1: Are the characters speaking American words, like us, but saying them in a really funny-sounding, snooty way? If so, then you may be watching a Jane Austen or Austen Powers movie.
Step #2: Are the female characters quite buxom? If so, you might be watching an Austen Powers movie.
Step #3: Are the female characters quite impetuous and not very buxom? If so, then you might be watching a Jane Austen movie.
